Which Hotel in Cancun

We are planning a vacation to Cancun. We've never been and are planning to bring our 13 yr. old and 16 yr. old along. We were thinking mid July. We considered Oasis Cancun, but after reading the reviews we're not sure. We want a reasonably priced hotel with a nice pool and beach. Any suggestions? Please help.

Why on earth would you consider the Oasis???? ANYWHERE but there...I mean tripadvisor isn't always accurate but you can't discount 90% of reviews...

Try either Marriott, Fiesta Condesa, Hilton, Gran Melia, the Hyatt.

My friend who travels to Cancun frequently also had nothing good to say about the Oasis. I stayed at The Flamingo a few years back and liked it. It was in a great location. I have also heard NH Krystal is a good value and great location.

We stayed at the Fiesta Americana and loved it. We stayed there in 1997 for our anniversary and recently went back for our 10 year anniversary. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Click on my screenname, scroll back and you'll find my trip report from January of this year.

We've decided on Cancun Palace. Has anyone stayed at this location? It looks like it was just remodeled. Is this right?

We used to own property in Cancun and haven't been there for many years, but I recommend that you stay on the calm side facing Isla Mujerse...the ocean side can be quite rough and there have been a number of drownings.

mario suzanne, Cancun Palace has been remodeled since Wilma. I understand it is 90 percent complete. We've stayed there a number of times and are going back in May. Go to trip advisor and click on the pictures by Kelly. I think you'll enjoy your stay if you go to Palace. It's one of the best AI's
