Luxurious Cancun Hotels ???

Which is better, more luxurious: Riu Palace las Americas or JW Marriott? And as far as "better" I mean overall, everything, the beach, the rooms, etc. The 3 of us (family of 2 adults & teen) are searching for a place for 4 nites over T'Giving that will totally just "blow us away"!!! Thanks!

The most "luxurious" in town is the Ritz Carlton.

Tripadvisor.com rates the top 3 hotels in Cancun as the Ritz (1), JW Marriott (2), Hilton (3).

Personally, I love the JW, it is my favorite all time hotel; however, it all depends on what you're looking for. The Riu Palace is an Al, and in my view, that puts it in a different league, and not a better one, but plenty love all inclusives, and it may have a more social atmosphere for your teen...

The JW has a far better beach as it's on the Caribbean whereas the Riu is on the Gulf of Mexico. IMO the JW is in a nicer "neighborhood"; the Riu is in a congested area. Also, I see no need for an all-inclusive as Cancun has many different restaurants in the hotel zone and downtown as well that should be tried. To conclude, I also vote for the JW. We stayed there a number of years ago and it truly is a luxurious place. Great pool.

Thanks for the info. I think it will be the JW for us. Just wanted to make sure!
