Owlwoman - I want to thank you for the 'heads up' on the breakfast at Peace Lodge. Since I had a lot of time to think about it before our trip, I was prepared to discuss with the Peace Lodge staff without loosing my cool. Fortunately, it worked. I was able to convince the front desk person to call the manager and he agreed to honor the free breakfast that was included in our two night reservation.

I guess I should have done the same, but there were only two of us and it was only for one night, I'm on vacation and I didn't really want to make it that big an issue. It did put a slight damper on our stay.
With the increase in prices over the years at PL, probably won't go back, there's far better places to stay (BDC for one) and spend that kind of money!

rpowell, it's a lodge on the Osa - extremely popular on these boards, excellent place to spot wildlife. Their cabins overlook a beautiful view of the water, and they have great food and communal dining. You can see all 4 kinds of monkeys, sloths, scarlet macaws, and other wildlife; people go back year after year.
