Si Como No or Buena Vista Villas?

Having trouble deciding on a hotel in Manuel Antonio Park area. Deciding among Si Como No, Costa Verde II Studio Plus, or Buena Vista Villas. Looking for a gorgeous view,
balcony, lovely baths, and good proximity to the park. Traveling with my husband and two daughters aged 18 and 21. Help and Thanks!!

Costa Verde Studio Plus views are superb, but Si Como No is by and large a nicer hotel, and certainly the bathrooms are nicer. Can't comment on Buena Vista. . .

Our family really enjoyed Si Como No with our young adult son and 2 daughters in summer 2005. We had a car to get to the park and beaches. There is a free shuttle from si como no but we didn't take it...I'm not even sure where it takes you.

Si Como No is very expensive but I was glad we stayed there. Their more casual restaurant, Rico Tico Bar 'N Grill, is fun and has good food for good prices compared to other places we tried nearby. We enjoyed the adult pool. They also have a small movie theatre which was a fun break. Internet cafe right next door but only about 3 computers, in the gift shop.

The butterfly reserve right across the street from Si Como No was excellent...you need to book a short tour with them...It was worthwhile, better than expected. Good for all ages including small children if anybody else is reading this...

The rooms at Si Como NO are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are nicely appointed. But they are simple and modern in style...nothing over the top. Some people expect to get a more snazzy room for the price, but you are paying for more than the room...it's the staff, which is numerous and well trained, and the grounds, the whole experience.

Thanks, and Melissa has given you "right on" info about SCN--it really is a nice experience. We, too, enjoyed the butterfly garden. Also should mention an excellent gift shop, great art. And a handy internet service in the gift shop.

Hands down, Si Como No!We loved our stay there. Service and food were great!

Plan on wakeup calls by the howler monkeys! It is the spookiest, coolest thing you'll ever hear!

You will love it! We stayed in room 3 and one morning we were awakened by a clan of about 30 Titi monkeys jumping from tree to tree about 5 feet in front of our balcony. Totally unforgettable. Sorry no pics, it was pre-dawn and I could not turn my camera on fast enough!

Later that morning, family of Capuchin monkeys frolicked in a tree just a little further away!

Pura Vida!

We had 2 sloths right off our balcony--up close and personal. That, coupled with a great ocean view, made our balcony time very enjoyable! Love the Rico Tico bar--try the avocado quesodillas!

And don't forget to order the banana flambee at dinner at the Rico Tico bar and Grill at Si Como No...it's not just a dessert, it's an entertainment!
