Have a great time!

The main roads in the area (highway 307) is wide and modern and everything is well-marked, so it is easy to get a rental car and go all over the place around there.

I hope you will post a trip report when you return. I have thought about going to that resort ever since it opened a few years back but had not heard much about it. We love the IC properties, (have stayed at the one in Cozumel 10 times) so were interested in checking it out.

Feel free to ask any more questions, and there's also a very active PDC forum at playadelcarmeninfo.com and check out http://www.visitpuertomorelos.com/

Cozemal I think is superior. But, if diving and snorkeling is what you want I suggest you condider The Lighthouse Reef Resort on a large atoll off Belize. It is quite with good home-cooking and excellent for divers. While it is not fancy at all it is very well maintained and cabins on the beach have A/C. In terms of diving they do it all! All you have to do is show up each day with your regulator. Anthony's Key Resort off Honduras also, in my opinion, is better than Cozemal or Cancun by far. The food here is better the price is about the same but the air fare a little higher than flying into Belize City. Also while they have many excellent dive boats it is a larger resort (bit nicer as well)but you as a diver do more work. But 3 dives a day is doable. They generally have a 7 day stay minium.

On the17 Mandy posted there are no dive ops on Isla Mujeres. Not true! There are half a dozen! Coral Divers and Sea Hawk Divers are the two used most often.

Again, Diana - Thank you! I will enjoy looking through the websites you suggest.

I will post a report of the resort when we return. I found a bit on Fodors, but have you looked at www.tripadvisor.com? There are some reviews there, too.
