Great to hear airwayvz & pmschoe - not only that it didn't have any effect on your trip but that the country was not devastated & is getting back on track quickly. Nothing like a little jolt to remember your trip by!

Thanks for the eye witness accounts! Should put everyone's mind at rest regarding the area's ability to properly accomodate guests!

phschoe: Thanks for mentioning the quake was the strongest felt even for you those who experienced it in California. I've heard the same from many who live here, formerly Californians. We've had some 3's and 4's here and these seemed like little hiccups compared to the 6.4. It certainly was intense! Still waiting on our glass installation ... any longer and we're investing in plastic and duct tape stock!
