Pricing question on driver to BdC from Drake Bay, Palma Sur, or Golfito
About how much does it cost to hire a driver to drive you TO BdC from
1. Drake Bay
2. Golfito (maybe boat trip...but my husband get's sea sick VERY EASILY)
3. Palma Sur
Would driving at night be okay w/driver? If you don't know prices, then what do you think would be the least expensive option? Which of the above 3 places is the most interesting to stay a night or two?

The cheapest would probably be a private boat from Golfito. You can travel a lot quicker across the Gulfo Dulce that way than by the ferry which takes 1 1/2 hr. I didn't enjoy that trip at all. Hard to say these days what it would cost by car. I would contact Bosque del Cabo. They can find out for you if you are thinking of staying there. I believe the boat would be around $50-60. The car transfer from DB or Palmar Sur would be a lot more than that.

Do keep in mind that the flights that go from Drake Bay or Palmar Sur to Puerto Jimenez are the same flights that are sold out from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez, they just stop at PS or DB on the way to Puerto Jimenez. There might be seats available from DB to PJ but getting to DB in the first place might be the problem.
