Hotel Victoria. We traveled there with our son in 2001. The bungalows have plenty of room. Would be surprised if the Camino Real (where we'll stay next time) can't accomodate you, too.

We stayed in the Victoria about 12 years ago. At that time, it was possible to get a charter flight out of Toronto with a hotel package, which is why we came to be at the Victoria. It was quite nice. The only disadvantage that I recall is that it's not really within walking distance of the zocalo. Last time we stayed at a B&B (Casa de los Sabores) and that was a better location for us.

It's a nice spot overlooking the city, but as susan says, not within walking distance. The hotel runs a free shuttle that drops you a block from the Zocalo. It has a big pool, which will come in handy if that third person is a kid. Take a look at their website http://www.hotelvictoriaoax.com.mx/ and check out the Camino Real.

Hotel Victoria is up on Fortin Hill- great view as they say. If you really wanted to walk downtown you could go down Crespo but you have to cross the Pan Am highway which has lots of traffic. The Camino Real is certainly in a better location as far as walking.
