Mr Sanchos or Paradise Beach?

Will be in Cozumel in December for 1 day on cruise and just want to get to beach and chill. Which has better facilities for a 14 year old boy? How easy is it to get a taxi back from these beaches?

Either would be fine. Taxis are easy and plentiful.

I agree. Chankanaab is a much better choice for a 14 year old. All are easy to get to.

Ditto to Chankanaub. Hopefully it will be restored enough by December. Cozumel was hit pretty hard by "Wilma." I was there last September and some of the Southern resorts were not fully open yet because of "Emily." It's really heart breaking.

Chankanaab Park was completely destroyed by Wilma. The reports I'm reading from residents say that all buildings at Chankanaab were wiped out and the lagoon was filled in with sand. I wonder what happened to the dolphins? All cruise ship piers in Cozumel have been damaged or destroyed completely, so it will be a while before ships return to that destination.

hi all please do not believe everything you are reading about Cozumel, the pictures you have seen of the island of course would be the worst of it, nobody will take pictures off the things that were alright. If you really want to know about the Island go to www.stormcarib.com , they are reports that are coming from people who live there and the shops that we all have been to. so check it out before the rumors go around i have seen pic's and the island is get back on its feet pretty fast. Bye
