Late check out in BA?

My wife and I are planning a 7 day trip to Buenos Aires. We found out that our return flight leaves BA at 9:30PM. Has anyone been in the same situation? Is it easy to get a late check out from the BA hotels?
Any comments would be appreciated.

In a word, yes, it is easy to get a late check out. Most flights to the US are overnight, so the hotels are accustumed to early check in and late check out......

Depending upon the hotel and how late you wish to check out, you may be charged a half/day rate....I have done late check out from Art Suites, Holiday Inn Express and HoJo on Florida (formerly Marriot Courtyard) without charge....but the Etoile will charge....and even the hotels I mention may charge if you leave for the airport at 7 PM for you 9:30 flight.....

Thank you drdawggy. I had an idea that it could be done, but wanted to be sure. We are planning to be either at the Americas Towers or the Emperador. I am willing to pay half day in order to have our room for the day. Think it is worth it. First time in BA and we are really excited.

I have been to BsAs 10 times in the past two years, and I love it.....I hope you enjoy the city as much as I do.....

When you decide where you are going to stay, you might want to clarify the policy for late check out....

For what it is worth, of the two hotels you mention I recommend the Emperador. It is newer and nicer than Americas Towers

Hi again drdawggy: I appreciate your comments. I understand the Americas Towers is nice and rather modern.(built in 2000? I recall reading somewhere).I know the same company also owns the Las Americas Hotel on the same street. Is this the one you are thinking? From comments in this forum, it sems the Las Americas is older and in need of refurbishing. We thought about the Americas Towers since it is in the Recoleta area. The Emperador seems to be more in the business area. How is the area of the Emperador at night after business hours, compared to the Recoleta? We have not made the reservatons yet, so we can go to one or the other. Both are "superior" category and the difference in price is very small. For us, the location is very important. Any further comments?
Thanks again,
JL

Our hotel was supposed to charge half day fee if you stay after 12noon till 6pm -and full day after that -We left at 8:15pm but they only charged us half day.We loved all the Argetinians we encountered there , we felt like we were parted from friends when we left.

The Bisonte Palace , very reasonable rates ,good clean hotel ,GREAT breakfasts(included) ,well-functioned room ,good location- walking distances to pedestrians streets ,shops, restaurants , opera house...it's one of the three hotels we'd stayed in AR.Happy with them all.Bisonte is the cheapest one.

The two hotels are about 7 blocks apart. Neither is in the center of Recoleta. I don't know if you have a map, but the center of Recoleta (for tourists) is the area around the cemetary. This area is about a 2-3 peso cab ride for either the Americas Towers or the Emperador.

The address of the Emperador is Libertador 420, between Suipacha and Carlos Pelligrini/9de Julio.
The Americas Towers is located at Libertad 1070, between Santa Fe and Arenales.

Near the Emperador is Posada de la Recova, where there is a concentration of restaurants/bars and Patio Bullrich, with movies, a food court and lots of upscale shopping.

Near the Americas Towers is Santa Fe, with lots of cafes and restaurants. Also, trendy Gran Bar Danzon is in the same block.

Generally speaking, the area around the Emperador is more upscale....about two blocks from the 4 Seasons hotel and three from the Caesar Park

oops. I accidentally posted the message before I finished: You are right. I was thinking of the Las Americas and not the Towers....so I don't know what to say other than if you are happy with what you have seen or heard, go for it....

feel free to email me if I can help you [email protected]
