itinerary suggestions for Costa Rica

Need suggestions for two ladies traveling to Costa Rica in December or January. Would like to stay in a tree house, go to the ocean, zip line and see monkeys. Would like to fly into SJO and rent a car for 6 or 7 days. Please help! Thank you in advance.

Check out the Manuel Antonio area. Tulemar Bungalows are great. Lots of monkeys on the property, and they have their own beach. You can fly into SJO. With a week, you might think about a second location. There are tree house hotels in the Arenal area, also great ziplining like Sky Trek.

I remember taking 3 hours from SJO to Manual Antonio. I've never been to Arenal but I believe it's somewhere around 6 hours from Manuel Antonio. Yes Tulemar has a great setting.

Yep, Manuel Antonio is about three hours from SJO, and it's about five hours between the Arenal area and MA. There's a cool bridge you can stop at during the drive at the Rio Tarcoles to see some huge crocs down below. You can also buy fresh fruit smoothies there. Good way to break up the drive.
