Help with trip to Costa RIca

My husband and I are thinking of taking a trip to Costa Rica in May for 5 nights and 6 days. We would like to go to the Pacific Coast and are interested in a mostly romantic trip with some adventure (jungle tour, canopy jumping, short hikes). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since we are trying to put this together quickly. We would be flying in to San Jose, so not sure about how difficult it is to get to the Pacific Coast area. We do not have to stay in a top of the line resort, however something nice and unique would be ok.

If you want to head to the coast then maybe just heading to Manuel Antonio would be your best bet. Have you researched that area at all?

Agree with hip that you would probably like Manuel Antonio. Check out Mango Moon. If you can stretch your trip at all, it would pair well with the Arenal area that has a lot of great hiking and adventure activities plus the active volcano.

Thanks for the info. I will look into those 2 areas. Any suggestions for accomodations in Manuel Antonio? What is the best way to get there from San Jose?

Mango Moon that I mentioned above - and other popular spots are Costa Verde, Si Como No, Villas Nicolas, and Tulemar Bungalows. You can drive, fly, hire a private driver, or check on Interbus. Lots of good hotel and restaurant choices around.
