Is Si Como No worth the money?
Is Si Como No worth the $225/night (and that is a basic room)? We are dipping way into our pockets for this but I want a nice place for our two night stay in MA. Just a side question... I am really into exotic pool settings, ie. infinity, waterfalls, using natural rock, surroundings. Does anything fit the bill like this in MA. We will be staying at El Sano Banano in town and using Ylang Ylangs pool, I hear the pool there is really nice. Oh, by the way how are the accomadations in town at El Sano Banano? Anyone stayed there?

Well ..... I'm just about the only one who says this here , but I found the basic room was definitely NOT worth the $$$ , even with the pool . I would choose Makanda in a heartbeat . And Mango Moon , And Villas Nicolas ....And Costa Verde 2 ....

Thank you faithie and 58smom. I will now start looking at other options. What would be on the top of your list? Which place has the best pool? Have either of you been to Rincon De la vieja NP? I would love any and all info you can provide.

I'm with the other Faithie also on this one. When we stayed there, we thought it was a lovely place: room, balcony, pool, restaurants. . .but that was 3 years ago and we paid $140, which was a splurge for us then. No way would I pay $225 to stay there. They've gone a little over the top, I'd say. Too bad--it really is a nice place.
