Hotels in San Telmo

Any recommendations on hotels in San Telmo?
We think The Cocker sounds good but there is no elevator.

In November we stayed at Hotel Babel. It recently opened and is in a great location in ST, one block off Defensa and a few blocks from Plaza Dorrego. The rooms were small, but that is not unusual in hotels in BA I think. There are about 8-10 rooms that surround an open courtyard and half are on the first floor. Really nice, helpful staff.

In general there are not a huge selection of hotels to choose from in San Telmo. I found out that many advertise as being in ST, but are not and in some cases the areas they were really in were not such great neighborhoods to stay in.

Defintely check out Trip Advisor as Scarlett suggests. Much more active board for BA and a few people are very familiar with ST specifically and gave me great advice. Also you can check out the Hotel reviews on TA.

I haven't stayed there, but just e-mailed them to see if I could possibly reserve two nights. Happy Travels!
