Hotels in/near Manuel Antonio

We are trying to decide between Tulemar, Mango Moon & Si Come No and are having the toughest time! Can you share your experience/advice on any of these?

Do you want small , intimate and romantic ....???? (a la Mango Moon ). Beautiful amenities , restaurants ,very well rated ,a bit more of a resort feel ..... ( Si Como No ). Simple , elegant , yet basic , with small beach below property (Tulemar Bungalows )

Hi, we have stayed at both Tulemar and Si Como No and enjoyed both tremendously. I would have to say Si Como No is our favorite though. Especially because of their adult-only pool, gardens, and fun atmosphere. Tulemar is more tranquil and offers a gem of a private beach. So guess it depends on what you are looking for. I haven´t heard about Mango Moon. Hope this is somewhat helpful.

Just got back from CR and we spent our first 3 days of the honeymoon at Mango Moon. We loved it. It was the opposite of a resort feel b/c it only has a few rooms. Only one pool but it is beautiful. One of the best sunset views in all of Manuel Antonio. Within walking distance of the bank/ATM and various bars and restaurants, including ... forgot the name, begins with a K and was the best food and atmosphere that we found.

The owners are great. They are American and had great advice in terms of restaurants and things to do. They are always offering you another drink or cold water or pina colada. Breakfast was filling and delicious. Despite the hike down to the beach, it has its own little coved beach which was very nice, especially when the trees were still giving shade to hide under. Sunsets at the pool were stunning. At night they light candles all over the lobby area which looks beautiful in all the woodwork and is very romantic.

Thanks for all of the great advice. I guess the websites can be somewhat misleading. Tulemar appears ot have more amenities and beauty than Si Como No but from the reviews it seems that is not the case! Actually a little larger resort with more to explore might be an good way to end our trip after being in Tamarindo and Arenal for the other portions.

Tulemar is VERY beautiful ! An amazing property , if you type in Tulemar at the top you will get some positive thoughts . It is slightly more understated .... Not sure if thats the right word ? It would be a great choice as well !

Was Mango Moon difficult to get around? I love their website; it certainly looks enjoyable.

I stayed at La Mariposa which I did not like. I heard Tulemar (sp) is nice.
