Hotel to stay with mom in Ba

Hi, I will be travelling with my mom to BA in August and I am in a really big doubt.

Itīs my second time in BA and momīs 1st time. On my first time I stayed in Art Suites Recoleta (an apart hotel), which I enjoyed a lot but I believe for mom itīs a little far for most attractions and the breakfast is not good.

I would prefer a hotel instead of an apart hotel, but Iīm afraid to stay downtown and itīs not beautiful and safe as Recoleta.

Anybody has any good idea?

Thanks, Dudi

What is your budget? Pull up my earlier post on Art Hotel (not the suites), Recoleta - we loved it.

You could either stay in another hotel in Recoleta, nearer the cemetary (I suppose this is one of the attractions you will want to visit).....LoiSuites is right there....

Or you could stay in Retiro, which would put you midway between Recoleta and the downtown attractions such as Plaza de Mayo.....Sofitel and Argenta Towers on one side of 9 de Julio in Retiro or the Four Seasons or Caesar Park on the other side of 9 de Julio, near Patio Bullrich.

Puerto Madero is also very safe and nice and not too far from Plaza de Mayo, etc.....The Sofitel Madero, Hilton and Faena are all modern hotels in this district..

If you opt to stay downtown, the NH Jousten has a good breakfast and is very near attractions....

Hi I lilke Hotel Bell Air, good location, good breakfast . Ask for a junior suite, which is nothing else but a larger room, it is worth it for very little more.

Hotel Bel Air - in Recoleta, safe, nice moderate hotel. Junior suites were very nice. If you book through travel agent you will likely get a slightly better rate.

I checked Bel Air and it is full. I believe Argenta Tower will be a good option... Close to Recoleta and downtown!

Hi dudi, I also stayed in the Argenta Towers and liked it very much. Very good breakfast, good service, good location, and they also have a rest. that offers good fare for very reasonable prices, like they have a couple of different options, a la carte, or main course and dessert and a drink, etc ask the waiters. Their cold table is excellent and more than enough for a good lunch.
I also stayed in a hotel called, The America Towers , in calle Libertad. They are two hotels similar name next to each other the Towers is the up scale one.LIke a four stars similar to the Bel Air and Argenta. I liked it very much. For meals near the hotel I tried a very good cafe in the corner of Libertad and Street Marcelo T de Alvear. Good luck.
