Hijacking threads
It is so sad that we have one member who has lots of knowledge about Mexico has such a bad attitude about others he is obsessively driven to attempt hijacking innocent posters threads . Perhaps it is time to ban him here like he was at so many other sites,

This is sort of hilarious, really. I pretty much stopped checking into Fodor's forum for this exact reason. I check in today and find a thread deserving of SNL attention. Over and out - will focus on other forums with more information and less drama.

hopefulist~ For exactly that reason this forum, this branch in particular, *desperately* needs you help, expertise, and participation.
It's only the same few people who make the trouble. Over and over and over again. There are plenty of other sincere posts that go unanswered because of lack of knowledge and input here.
For those reasons, and many more, I'm very sorry to read your post above.
siempre, suze

Both of you need to review the forum guidelines, where it says members monopolizing the boards will not be tolerated. By stew trying to get me banned, and suze encouraging him to do so, that's exactly what you're doing. Suze, you as a self-appointed defacto moderator, might think about whether commenting on each and every post constitutes monopolizing the forum. All the more so when your Mexico travel experience is so lacking.
The guidelines also say multiple viewpoints are encouraged. Except mine, I guess? I openly encourage anyone to challenge facts I post. Likewise, if I see an erroneous post, I'll correct it. Readers deserve at least a modicum of accurate information given all the nonsense and mere opinion that's too often presented as fact.
Last, the guidelines indicate that a member that posts to provoke a reaction is a troll. That was clearly the purpose of stew's post.

WOW, a lot of truths mentioned here...but suffice it to say that I, like many others including hopefulist, would rather ignore the negativity, the constant policing and remarks and just advise and or comment on the question at hand.
It is only a matter of time until this forum is either abandoned or modified so as to go back to it’s true purpose, which is to help and advise travellers without having to defend your personal experiences and tastes...

Oh and where exactly did I do that?
I was not "encouraging" anything, only saying that if Stew had a complaint he needs to take it up with management, posting on open forum does nothing.

<All the more so when your Mexico travel experience is so lacking.>
My "Mexico travel experience" is honestly represented in my posts on this forum.
I have always been truthful and transparent about where I have and have not been.
If 30+ trips to Puerto Vallarta (and a couple to the Baja) over the past three decades is "so lacking", that's your opinion.

The bottom line is this guy has accused me of Lying in my post as to where I have been, what I have own & ridiculed my choice of destinations.
This was not "corrections" of facts as he states but typical trolling. I have had a number of other posters send me private messages who he has attacked in the past. Just a real sad case!
