Hard Beds @ Cancun Marriott?

There are dozens of posts on TripAdvisor complaining of the hard beds at JW Marriott Cancun. Other than that, everybody raves about it. But a bad bed can really ruin a vacation.
Has Marriott made any recent changes?

After many trips to Mexico I have rarely found a bed that was not on the "firm" side! I can't answer for that particular property, but mattresses seem to be more firm there. I must admit, it has never ruined a trip for me.

I too, have stayed in hard beds in Mexico, and have found the beds at the JW to be just fine...not soft, firm but not hard either...!

Don't know about any changes, but I didn't think the beds at he JW were that bad. I didn't want to bring it home with me, but it didn't prevent me from sleeping! I loved the hotel overall!

If you find the bed too hard, you might try asking housekeeping to put a pad over the matress. We did this recently at the Caribe Real and it made a huge difference.
