We had a trip planned to Cancun in the JW Marriott - but since the hurricane hit - they are wanting to place us in one of the following: Riu Palace Las Americas or Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun. This is my husband and I's first anniversary - we want something for adults, quiet, clean rooms, 5 star with great beaches, intimate private area for beach, etc. Can you let me know which one is preferrable? Thank you.

There is no "Mexico" board that I had seen!
Anyway, the Riu Cancun would fit you better I think. Riu is not known for catering to kids, so you should not have a lot of screaming kids running around...and they are a newer property. The Fiesta Americana is a nice property also, but their kind of run down more.

It's actually the Latin America Board that LN is talking about. It isn't that people won't answer here, it is just that you may get a better responce there.
