Electric Outlets in Argentina

Hi!

Does Argentina use standard North American outlets or do we need to bring adapters? We will be in major cities during our trip. Thanks for the help.

Bring your adapters. The current is 220, and the prongs are different than in the United States....

Our adaptor did not work. We just went to a little
store and bought one for 2 pesos (67 cents US)

Here is a good store for adaptors and transformers....

ALAMTEC, La Casa del Transformador
Parana, 220 (between Peron and Sarmiento)
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am to 7pm, Saturdays 9am to 12:30pm,
4371-1023

I also bought an adaptor for two pesos in an store that sells electric items. Kind of ferreteria.
