Costa Rica Itineray Question

Hello! My husband and I are planning a trip to Costa Rica in January and February So far we have 3 Days in Manuel and 4 days in Drake Bay. We have two more days to book after Drake Bay and before a night stay in San Jose. I am trying to decide if we should stay in Drake Bay and the Osa a bit longer, head up to Jaco for two days, or travel from Drake up to Arenal for two days. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

In my opinion, adding Arenal would make your trip more diverse and interesting than adding Jaco, which is another beach destination.

I agree 100% with Cattail. I spend 2 days in Novenber in Jaco...
Waste of time.

I also agree, w/ the above comments, although depending upon your arrival and departure times, and how set in stone the dates are at MA and Drake Bay, you might consider changing the order around... Although it can certainly work for you getting from Drake Bay to Arenal in one day, no problem.

We love the Arenal area too. Jaco has a reputation for being a little bit seedy, but we haven't stayed there personally.

Stay in Drake, and see if you can swing an overnight stay at La Sirena ranger station.
Skip Jaco. Two extra days wouldn't make sense for Arenal, given travel logistics.

If having a car then you might spend extra 2 days in Dominical/Uvita or, for a change of scenery and climate, in the Cerro de la Muerte area. If flying from DB then Arenal is an obviouse choice.
