Costa Rica in June
We are thinking about planning a trip to Costa Rica for June 2010. I have read that June is the rainy season. Does anyone know what the weather would be like? I would be in Papagayo on the coast , not inland, if that makes a difference.

The real rainy season their is Sept/Oct from what the locals told us. We went in July and Aug and for the most part had great weather. Arenal is a bit more cooler with more frequent showers. In Manuel Antonio it never really rained for longer than 20 minutes. We would hide under trees and then go back out to the beach.

We visited Manuel Antonio, Arenal, and Monteverde in June 2006. It was typical weather for June...sunny mornings and rain showers every afternoon. This worked well for us because we did our hiking and activities in the morning, and then relaxed in the afternoon. Then it was sunny again in late afternoon before dinner. Don't forget that rainy season is also green season...which means beautiful! I haven't been to Papagayo. Enjoy!

I've been in early June and late June and there was never enough rain to interfere with activities. I wasn't in the area your going to though, although should be drier there.
Here's a good website with average rainfall.
