KVR, thanks for everything.(And thanks to everyone else as well)
I live full time in Costa Rica so if you ever have a question about CR that you can't find on the board, or want a local perspective feel free to email me and I'll try to help.

Oh, and now everyone will know how I came up with my user name.

P.S. I am not affiliated in anyway with any hotel or tour company.

Tully, I got an e-mail back from that tour company. They indicated that the tour operator is making some changes and they are not sure when it will be running again. They told me to check back closer to our departure and see if it's running or not. I'm glad you caught that.

Allylam, we are hoping to go to Costa Rica in May, but waiting to see about funds as it's quite expensive. I would love your perspective and will send you and e-mail. Thank you.

Edventures gets good reviews over on TripAdvisor, as does Yucatreks, I actually met Ed and his wife Bonnie last year in Akumal at the Lol-Ha beach bar. One thing to keep in mind is where the tours depart from, as Ally's friend has to catch the ferry from Isla to Puerto Juarez and then get to PDC (for Yucatreks) or Tulum (for Edventures) so may need to take the very first ferry over.

Yes, we are planning on being on the first ferry, at 6:00am. Some tours leave PDC between 7:30 and 8:00. I would think if they know we are coming that they would wait a few minutes in the event we are slightly late, especially since it looks like there will be at least 5 in our group now!
