Cano Island
We want to go to Cano Island for the day. I am not sure if this is possible or not but are there boats that will taxi us over? Instead of paying for a tour with a meal? We wanted to hike around for the day and we have our own snorkeling equipment. Are there fisherman or boat taxi’s that will take us there for the day for a cheap price?
If not can someone give me a link of all the tour operators that go into Cano Island and Corcovado?
I will be driving to sierpe. However if you can recommend really good tour operators from Uvita or Domincal please let me know.

If you don't go with a tour, chances are you will have to hire a private boat for the day, as there are no taxis that go back and forth to the island. The best place to shop around for a boat will be in Drake Bay. I would walk around town and talk to the locals.
Don't forget to secure your park reservation in advance, either through an operator in Drake, or in person at the Park Ranger Station in Puerto Jimenez. Since December it has been a requirement to purchase your park entrance before you enter the park, and this includes Caño Island.

Thanks. So what I’m getting from you is that if I want to find cheap boat guides it would be $25 pppd from Drake bay area or the Sierpe area? Where would be better to find them?
This would be the ideal scenario below if possible.
Basically I would get into Sierpe on Sunday night. Early on Monday morning we would like to go to Cano Island spend the day there then go to Drake's bay and catch an night hike tour of Cocorvado. Tuesday we would like to do an activity in the park. In the late afternoon get a ride to Sierpe.
For the Tuesday morning till afternoon what are some suggestions to do? We could get a guide and go into the Cocorvado park or something else? We are 2 guys so we can rough it out.

Ballardo Diaz is a guide and knows what he is talking about. He has always been very helpful with answers about the Osa on several forums. I would not hesitate to contact him and arrange something with him.
