Can we swim to reefs from Cozumel resorts?

Hey, maybe we should stay on Cozumel instead of the Riviera Maya coastline. Can we swim out to some of the great intermediate reefs to SNORKEL or do we need a dive boat? What all inclusive resorts on Cozumel are closer to the reefs? ---Related experience or advice from any of you is greatly appreciated!

Coral Princess resort. Great snorkeling! Actually, there is good snorkeling along the coast in Cozumel. The Coral Princess is not AL, but you don't need that in Cozumel. So many wonderful restaurants to try.

Thank you Diana and TC for your responses. I'm taking notes! Diana, do you know the name of the reef in front of the InteContinental Presidente? ---I also read there is a reef off the NE corner of The Reef Club. Is that reef Dzul Ha? ----Can anybody suggest more reefs to swim out to off Cozumel and what resort they're off of?

Yes, the reef in front of the IC hotel is called Paradise.
There are not many resorts that have good snorkeling in front right off the beach without taking a boat.

Thanks, Diana. I've read about the Paradise reef--and now I know exactly where it is! I think I'll start pricing the IC. It has some great reviews and would be nice to have a reef right out in front on days we don't want to get on a boat.--We're going in September. Heard that's still part of the rainy season, but we went in November two years ago and the weather was hot and fabulous and very little rain.
