Thanks for responding. I do have a few specific questions.
How far is the hotel from the town of Cabo? Do you recommend renting a car? I heard the taxi's are expensive? Is the taxi ride from the airport expensive? Rooms are air conditioned, correct? Do you know if the water was purified? Someone had said that all of the rooms do not have balconies? Any insight on that. We have an ocean view room, however I definitely want a room with a balcony.

Hope this is helpful...
The hotel is only about 15 minutes from downtown Cabo, but the taxi is $21 each way. The hotel offers a shuttle to downtown, $10pp round trip. The shuttles are every 1 1/2 hrs from 9am to 9:30pm. A lot of people rented cars, we chose to relax @ the hotel most of the time, but if you want to explore, renting a car is probably the best way to do it. Or, there's always the city bus, but it looked crowded & it's a good walk from the Sheraton to the road where you pick up the bus (too much effort for me on vacation!)
The taxi ride from the airport is $50- always be sure to confirm the price with the driver before you get in the taxi. We took a shuttle bus that was $14pp. You don't need a reservation, just go outside the airport & you will see big luxury buses waiting. The Sheraton can also make a reservation for you for the return trip.
The rooms are great, I consider myself fussy & I really liked the rooms. They all have jacuzzis & balconies. We also had an oceanview room & had a very nice view. They are airconditioned, but it was cool at night, so we just left the balcony door open.
Water- we only drank bottled water which was way overpriced, but I did hear that the water is purified. We never got sick from ice, frozen drinks, etc. We did buy bottled water for our room at the supermarket in downtown cabo- it was much cheaper.
If you need anything else, just write. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Sheraton, we were really pleased. Oh, one more thing, at the Sheraton check out the happy hours 2 for 1 drinks...the Tortuga Bar on the beach has them all the time. Also, Girasoles has an all you can eat breakfast for $9.99- you order all you want off the menu (not a buffet)- it's really good!

I, also, recently stayed at the Sheraton and loved it. "Trips" info was right on! We drank the (tap) water at the hotel and had no problems. In fact, ALWAYS ask for "tap" water unless you want to pay $5 or more for a glass in their restaurants. I will also strongly recommend buying bottled water in town. I paid $8 for a bottle on the beach.
We loved the room--very large, HUGE balcony, nice bathroom. We didn't rent a car--just took a lot of taxis into town. It's $5pp each way if you have 4 or more people and most of the taxis are vans, so you can fit a lot. (Make some friends!)
Can't remember the name of it, but the nicest restaurant on the property was fantastic. It's really expensive, but my meal there was wonderful (I got the Salmon).
Also, if you can, request a room in the main building. These rooms are much more convenient to the pools, spa, restaurants than the outlying buildings.
One last tip--review your hotel bill carefully and don't make ANY phone calls if you can help it. The phone calls were extremely expensive and we noticed a few charges on our bill that shouldn't have been there. BUT, my overall time at the hotel was great.
