Bussing it in Mexico

Does a bus travel from Guadalajara to San Poncho? If so, what do you know about it?
Would it be better to rent a car and drive the distance?

I am not familar with San Poncho & it is not listed in my Guina Roji map book. I will say that I have yet to find a place in Mexico I wished to visit that I could not find a bus to take me.

All the busses from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta will go past San Pancho, but I'm not sure if the Premium Class will stop, probably if you ask the driver nicely. 2nd class, no problem.
Keep in mind they will drop you on the highway and you'll have to hike into town, or hitch a ride.

I could be mistaken, but my recollection is that the official name for San Pancho is San Francisco. San Pancho is a nickname.

Again, I could be mistaken, but I would hate for you to pass San Franciso Nayarit when that is exactly what you're looking for.

Yes, I do know that San Poncho is actually San Francisco. Thanks for making sure that we knew that.

I hope Stewbear will look up San Francisco in the Guina Roji map book.

I can just see us jumping off the bus as it slows down near the town! This will be quite an adventure!!!

No need to look it up as I have been there many time. I thought you might mean San Pancho but figured you knew what you were asking.
