best water/beach

Planning to take our two daughters (8 & 10) to Mexico - want an all-inclusive. Which destination has the best/prettiest water?
Riveria Maya
Puerto Vallarta
Los Cabos
Cancun

Thanks!

While I've never been on the Pacific side, the Riviera Maya beaches are amazing. Just make sure the AI you choose has a nice beach, a few are built on rocky stretches. Go to locogringo.com for lots of info on the Riviera Maya.

No contest. For beaches and swimming, it's the Caribbean side. The Pacific side has it's charm and beauty as well but nothing comes close to the beaches of the Mayan Riveria.

Cancun/Mayan Riviera, same places really, and because they are on the Caribbean have that white sand turquoise water thing going on.

Next choice PV, while on the Pacific coast and a bit rougher, most beaches are still swimmable.

Not Cabo. Hardly any beaches there are swimmable, it's very rough and dangerous most spots.

Best west Coast beaches are Manzanillo & Zihutanejo/Ixtapa. Hate to disagree with my friend Suze but PV's beaches are not even close.
Of the 2 Zihua has better swimming being a protected bay but Manzanillo's are terribly rough either..

stewbear~ You don't agree that the beaches in Pyerto Vallarta are "swimmable"? That's all I said about them, as in comparing them to Cabo, which mostly are not.

I know the beaches in the places you mention are nicer, but the poster didn't ask about them

No I was not saying that PVC beaches are unswimable in fact I always swim there when I am in town. I only offered the OP some other options he/she may not be aware of.

Thanks for the replies. I think Mayan Riviera it is. We will probably stay away from the Cancun "strip." My husband and I have been once to Maya Riveria but never to the west coast side. . . . maybe we'll do that another time when it's just the two of us!
