Beach hotel with casino in Costa Rica?

My husband and I are considering a quick trip in June. His major concern is a casino, mine is a pretty beach. Any suggestions? Transportation from San Jose will be the biggest concern since we only have 4 days/3 nights for our trip. Any suggestions appreciated.

To get from SJ to a pretty beach, you can fly (Tamarindo or Quepos, for example) or rent a car or arrange for driver to take you there. Flying is your quickest option, however it depends upon your arrival time into San Jose as to whether or not you can then catch a connecting flight to the coast. As for a casino, that isn't anything that I've considered when in CR and so, don't have a clue where they are located. Or for that matter if they even have casinos there.

The Los Suenos Marriott in Puntarenas, Costa Rica has a casino and beach. It's on the west coast. We stayed there two years ago and loved it. It's a beautiful resort.

Ngong<BR>How much did you pay per night? Is it in a good location? I´m considering a trip to CR but would like to stay at a quiet and upscale place.

I don't remember how much we paid, but check out Marriottt's web site for rates. The resort was very quiet and upscale. I thought it was one of the better Marriott Resorts we stayed in. It also had a beautiful golf course.
