Help with planning the 2nd leg of our Costa Rica Vacation

We are planning our December trip to Costa Rica. We are flying into Liberia, renting a car, and driving to Lost Iguana Resort. We are staying there 4 nights and then driving to North Pacific Coast. We are at a loss as to where to stay. We want to be on the beach. We want this leg to be totally relaxing. The only things that we know for sure that we want to do at this point is beach stuff, a fishing trip, and the turtles around Samara beach. Can you please suggest somewhere to stay that is a bit like Lost Iguana? We have looked and read but are totally confused. We don't necessarily want big and crowded.
Thanks!!!

Thanks. The Sanctuary is on our list.
Has anyone stayed at Hotel Esparanza at Carillo Beach?

Hotel Esperanza isn't directly on the beach at Playa Carrillo but is no more than a 5-10 drive away. It is a small hotel, remodeled within the past couple of years, owned by a very affable American fellow. Good food, nice looking pool area and close enough to the beach to walk.
