Calling All Costa Rica Pundits

Please comment on my Feb 2006 Costa Rica Itinerary.
Any suggestions would be welcome

Day 1 Arrive in SJO about 10:00- Off to Peace Lodge for 2 nights.

Day 2 Peace Lodge.

Day 3 Leave Peace Lodge and go on some white water rafting trip with stayover in Pacuare River Lodge.

Day 4 More white water rafting, then back to SJ, spend night at Gran de Oro (any other hotel suggestions would be welcome)

Day 5 Early morning flight to Puerto Jimenez for 4 nights at Bosque Del Cabo

Day 8 Leave Bosque Del Cabo late morning to SJO and then fly back to winter.

If you have Marriot points to blow don't be afraid of the Costa Rica Marriot in San Jose- very plush

Xandari is also a very nice place to stay near San Jose. Great restaurant with beautiful view of the city.

If you have Marriott points, have you looked at The Marriott Los Suenos? We stayed there in Feb of '04 and was Fantastic!

This is great itinerary - adventure, white water rafting, local flight, rain forest, beach and sun.
You got it right.
Hotel Grano de Oro is fine and it is located on a good area of the city.

Remember to take some mosquito repellent.

Oops, forgot to mention I am a native Costarican and was the manager for a few years of a local tour company in San Jose before moving to something else.
I know Costa Rica and I can tell you that you will not be disappointed with your itinerary.
Thx, AA
