Anyone used "Different World" travel?

Hi. My husband and I have never been to Mexico. (We usually go to Hawaii). Looking for beach, tranquility, relaxation. We're deciding between two different areas...Punta Mita and Playa del Carmen.
On past vacations, we have always book through the hotel. It seems like in Mexico, you get better rates booking through a travel company. Has anyone used "Different World" travel company? Would you recommend them? Avoid them? Other recommendations for travel companies would be great.
Thanks for your help!!!
Maisey

I've used them twice, although I'm not sure exactly what function they fulfill. I could have made a reservation directly with the first hotel just as easily. The second hotel lost my reservation, though Different World had sent me a confirmation. I do enjoy their website, but I'm not sure about their overall selection of hotels: the two I tried were not ones I would ever return to, though admittedly they were on the low end pricewise.

I think their website is great but when I tried to book with them I called and spoke with a woman who was going to check info for me and never called me back. Could have been a miscommunication but she did have my phone # AND e-mail.

I used them last year to book La Conchita in Tulum and we had a very positive experience...they answered my phone calls (even though they are in England) and my emails.

La Conchita didn't lose our reservation, but they only deal with differentworld.com and no other travel agents/sites.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't like diferentworld.com's website because they didn't have information on one hotel we wanted to stay at..Fairmont Myakoba which is brand new and opens in April. Go figure.

Anyway, I decided to call the fairmont myself and got a GREAT DEAL!

Yeah...It seems that differentworld specializes in small, unique independent hotels.

The only travel agency that I have had experience with in Mexico is MayanQuest. I WOULD NOT recommend them.

Have a good trip.
