ok sorry for teh lack of info. i guess thats because i havent been there and I'm wide open to suggestions. Doesn't have to be adults only. I know some places promote a lot of walking and activities, I dont mind taking a day trip or two but I really want to chill on a nice beach. Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya, so I've been told
thx

The Barcelo hotel in Cabo is under construction, with an opening date of December 1st. Just go to thehotelofyourdreams.com/?33 and write a review of what kind of hotel room you would like to stay in. 25% off for early reservations, up to 20% (5% for each comment on the site) Total of 45%. It seems like a pretty awesome deal and likely going on because the new location is just openeing.

Look into the Iberostar Paraiso complex. There are five Iberostar resorts there. The Del Mar and Beach share all facilities. The Lindo and Maya share facilities and can use all the facilities of the Del Mar/Beach. The Grand is adults only and pure luxury. They are all on a great beach with fantastic pools.
The Barcelo Maya is another big complex on a nice beach.
You can't go wrong with either one of these complexes. They are both BIG.
There are activities if you want them or you can just veg out.

I think you're on the right track with the Caribbean side of Mexico, Cancun & on down the coast including Playa del Carmen. The "AI" thing is much more prevalent there than on the west coast (I love Puerto Vallarta for example but there are only a few AI's around town).

We have stayed at LeBlanc in Cancun the last two years in November and loved it. It is all-inclusive and adults only. That time of year is a bit of a tourist lull so it was not crowded. The beach is small, but the pools are really nice, there is a fabulous and very indulgent spa and I thought the food was quite good.
