Advice needed

Hi,
We'd appreciate your comments on the following:
We have prices for a twin room for 2 people for 4 nights inc taxes and breakfast as follows:
Kempinski Chateau $225...but is the pool far away?
NHCity $418
Cristotoro Colombo $230...not sure where in the city this hotel is?
Art Hotel (small and cosy rooms)$260

Any comments welcome...

Also found a package with alojargentina.com to the Falls for 4 days/3nights inc taxes transfers and tours for:
Cataratas $127 or
Orquideas for $89
Flights and tickets to the national parks extra.
We are wondering if we should go with a package like this or consider the Sheraton?
All advice welcome.

Thanks

Irish chics seem to be like chics everywhere....they have a hard time making up their minds (sorry, a little sexist humor).

The rate you were quoted earlier at the Argenta was excellent. unless you find something clearly superior, that is still your best bet.

Kempenski. Dont do it.

NHCity. Great hotel. Not the best location in downtown, but close to Plaza de mayo and other attractractions.

Cristoforo Colombo. In Palermo, a residential area beyond Recoleta. This hotel was last updated in about 1975.

Art Hotel. I liked it, but their small room for $260? overpriced imo. The room is very small/very cozy as is the bath.

Package. The Sheraton is so close to the falls that for me it is worth the extra cost, to be able to go out anytime I want and tour the falls. Look for a package with The Sheraton as your hotel.

You won't get as good a service from Aloargentina as you will get from either Cintia or argentinago.com.

You are right..it is difficult to chose...I hope to have it booked by next weekend!

Argenta...seems to be booked out when we want to go there

The only rooms at the Art hotel with two beds seem to be the small and cosy!

We will steer clear of the Kempinski and Colombo on your advice.

So it is narrowing down somewhat...

There is an apartment located in Montevideo and Cordoba Av....what is this area like?

We will also take your advice and go with one of the companies you suggest and the Sheraton...now the question 2 or 3 nights?

You have now idea how confused my brain is!!!

Thanks for all your patience and help.

I was just teasing you....

You won't need more than two nights at Iguazu, especially not if you stay at the Sheraton because you won't have to worry about getting back and forth from town or waiting for a guide. Just step out your door and follow the paths to the upper or lower circut or jump on the tram and go out to the Devil's Throat.....

I liked the Art Hotel....when you said small and cozy I thought you meant a room with one and not two beds....the one bed small and cozy is veeeeery small for two people. The room with two beds is somewhat larger and the price does not sound as bad as when I thought you were talking about the even smaller one bed room....

Are any of the other hotels from the NH chain available at a lower price? Like the Jouston or Florida?

Montevideo and Cordoba is neither the best nor the worst location imagineable. It is in what is commonly called Barrio Norte.

It is great to have some assistance

Well that is one thing definately sorted..we will need flight to Falls and two nights at Sheraton...

The Nh chain...the Florida is coming in cheapest with Expedia at $313 inc taxes..not sure if I can get a better price on this chain elsewhere?

Will keep looking,

We also plan to perhaps visit a ranch and Punte del Este dependent on weather when we get there.

Thanks...hope to be all booked by next weekend...

I similar concept about where to stay:

We have looked at Kimpinski Chateau large suite, art suites large suite and lois suites recoleta. Lois suites standard room offers smaller room for same price as others. Any comments regarding hotel conditon, service and location??
