2 week itinerary - thoughts?

Hi,

I'm flying into Buenos Aires and departing out of Santiago in early September and will have two weeks. What does everyone think about the following itinerary:

buenos aires - 3 days
iguazu - 1.5 days
salta - 3 days
el calafate - 2 days
puerto natales - 1 day
torres del paine - 2 days
santiago - 1.5 days

Thanks!

I think you will spend a lot of time in flying from aplace to the other. MAybe it would be better to cover an itinerary with more time to enjoy...
If were you maybe I would concentrate only in Argentina and would leave Chile for any other time. IMO, it would be better.
I would take at least 4 days for SAlta and the NW, the area deserves at least one more day.

Something has to go. The problem is all Argentine destinations have to go thru BA. Also Paine is difficult to get to. Paine is an all day van/bus ride from/to El Calafate or Punta Arenas (Chile). You are looking at 7-8 expensive flight segments.

Assume Arrive BA, Depart Santiago is a given:
PLAN 1
BA-3 to 4
Iguazu-2
El Calafate-2 to 3
Paine-2
Punta Arenas-1
Santiago-2 to 3

PLAN 2
BA-3 to 4
Iguazu-2
Salta-3 to 4
Santiago-3

PLAN 3
BA-3 to 5(time for 2 day trips estancia,Delta, or Colonia)
Iguazu 2
Rio-3 to 4
Santiago-3(Day trips to wine country, Valparaiso)

PLAN 4 Arrive BA, Depart Santiago not a requirement
Rio-3 to 4
Iguazu 2
BA-3 to 4
Salta or Mendoza-3 to 4
BA-1

Maybe BA as your base with a day or two up to Iguazu, and then because you're headed at the end to Santiago, maybe go to Mendoza for a few days at the end, and finish by crossing the mountains into Santiago, where you could spend a couple of days if you wanted. Flintstones is dead on correct - you'll be spending alot of time flying - in fact, with that itinerary, you'd probably be spending most of your time getting to places rather than seeing them. These spots aren't close together.
