York hotel help, please

I've done a search and, believe me, the threads that mention York are many, but involve scrolling through tons of posts on each thread seeking a glimmer. I did find two--Four Seasons (booked up) and Royal York (too expensive).

Could anyone recommend a hotel or B&B near the center of town (we'll be coming in by train). Would like to keep it under or around 100GBP for two--en suite.

Thanks for your help!

Check out this link. It is not a place I know but receives a good review in a guide I trust.
Tony

Mel:

I spent one of the best holidays of my life at the Dean Court Hotel. Was it terribly fancy? Not really. We booked the best room and it had an incredible view of the Minster (literally right across the street) but it was a little frumpy--in a completely charming way. Was the food outrageously wonderful? Not really (though it was very good.) Was the staff pleasant? Absolutely! Did we find other charming guests? Yes--people with whom we are still in contact to this day. Would I go there again? I'm already planning it. They have their own web site--just search for Dean Court Hotel York. Good luck!
