York B&B's
Normally I have stayed at the same B&B, however, they will be closed while I will be paying a visit. I did try a search, with no success. Can you recommend a nice place within walking distance of the town center. I have looked on-line at the following - Bootham Guest house, Bloomsbury guest house, Heather guest house and St. Mary's guest house. Thank you.

My husband and I stayed at Holly Villa http://www.bath.org/hotel/holly.htm while we were in Bath and loved it.

Sorry Rogerdodger: I just realized I was thinking of Bath rather than York and posted the wrong B&B. The B&B we stayed at several times in York has changed hands and I've not met the new owners. So I'm sorry I have none to recommend. Sorry for the mix-up.

We stayed at the Hazelwood Guest House in York a few years ago, and absolutely loved it! It's in a great location just outside the city wall- easy walking distance to everything.

I don't remember how much we paid for our room, but it was gorgeous and I remember thinking it was one of the best values of our trip. The owners were really nice, and the breakfast was excellent.
