Hi Swank,
We are lucky enough to have tickets to the play-off for third place in Stuttgart, so we are going to Germany anyway, so we thought we might as well apply. We have applied for the Ivory Coast vs Serbia in Munich as we will be around that area anyway and it would not be too hard to accommodate a last minute itinerey change. Most of the tickets that are available are not for the 'good' matches and we didn't want to put ourselves in a position to have to make big changes to things if we do get tickets.
I think there is always a possibility of getting tickets. We surely neveer expected to be lucky enough to get tickets allocated from the ballot!

We were fortunate in getting 3 conditional tickets to Czech-Ghana (just came through last week) in Cologne. We're shifting our schedule around to accommodate but it's well worth it. If you have never been to the World Cup games, it is fantastic. we would go even if we do not have tickets. Fortunately, we have tickets to the US-Czech game, and we hope to buy more when we are in Germany. If we don't get any tickets, then we'll lounge around in hofbraus having beer and drinking in the ambience.
Good luck!
Good luck!
