My abiding memory of the US World Cup was at the opening ceremony with Diana Ross running up to score a goal from 6 yards out into a giant inflatable goal and skewing the ball completely to the right. That pretty much sums up the American attitude to kickball.
Plus I love the fact that every league has to be a three letter acronym - the Premier League has mysteriously become the EPL, the wossitcalled league in the US is the MLS and each team has to take on its nickname to make it sound more American - the Manchester Red Devils vs the Sunderland Black Cats.
Not long before the Portsmouth Pirates and added time multi ball (copyright Budweiser)
