Will most Turks be holidaying immediately after Ramazan 2018?

Ramazan ends 14th June at the same time as the school holidays begin. I'm guessing it will be busy for a few weeks.

The three day religious holyday covers Friday, saturday, Sunday. Hence no real advantage for a decent vacation.

The wealthy may move immediately to their Summer homes at Bodrum and Alacati/Cesme but the standard family will plan
for July or August as usual.

This does not mean that some hopeful hotel managers will not start applying high Summer rates earlier this year.

The next religious holiday will be end of August and that is when resorts will fill up.

Thanks, OC, I'm considering an Aegean coast trip in June maybe (the one I didn't do two years ago). I've now found a motorbike rental place in Bodrum with the type of bike I like.

Unfortunately the flights into Bodrum aren't as cheap as I would like.

Croesus, the flights to Bodrum from Istanbul will get more expensive as the time gets closer.

Did you check Pegasus airlines?

Turkish Airlines seems to be the best option.

I've checked the other airlines (easyjet, Thomson, Pegasus, etc) and Turkish is the cheapest (Gatwick->SAW->Bodrum).

I realise I'm not a fan of big airports after my experience of changing flights at Atlanta and Detroit last year. I'll have to find out if I need at immigrate at SAW or Bodrum, and whether I need to collect and resubmit luggage at SAW.
I seem to remember something weird going on at Dalaman airport where you arrived at domestic but had to collect your luggage at the international terminal.

Flying, eh? A necessary evil. Maybe next year I'll bring my own motorbike.

I went in September with a TUI flight to Antalya, rented a motorbike in Kaleici.

Here's a ride report - https://advrider.com/f/threads/anoth...urkey.1339914/

Interesting that Hurriyet has voted Ildir as "most peaceful village"
Turkey?s most peaceful village: Ild?r?

I had a nice lunch there last month, before visiting the ruins of Erythrae.

Yes, it's called Eid Al-Fitr and it is a three-day feast that comes right after a month called Ramazan in turkey or Ramadan in English, which is a holy month in the Islamic Religion.
