Will Germany Honor/Recognize a U.S. Handicapped Placard?

I'm referring to the ones that you hang from your rearview mirror of your car here in the U.S. in order to park in a handicapped designated space. Can we use it in Germany with our rental car?

Yes. The EU member states started to accept those placards several years ago. Just keep in mind that a designated handicapped space is not necessarily one that let's you park for free.
