Wild West Show, Disneyland Paris
We are going to Disneyland Paris at the begining of April and have been told about the Wild West show there. It is quite expensive to do, and friends of mine say the food was mediocre but the show was good. Can anyone offer any advise on this one ? Any other good tips for our trip too will be greatly received. Our children are boy 13 and girl 8. Thanks !!

I found it to be the typical "eat and watch" type thing and the children in attendance loved it, and the souvenir cowboy hats. The food is certainly adequate and I would not exactly describe it as "mediocre" but apparently your friends don;t ever eat this sort of fare...it is NOT a gourmet meal and the price paid reflects that.

The children will certainly enjoy the show. One of my children was called down to compete in a 'shooting' match; she thought she actually shot the target, while all the adults missed. The food is ok. We all enjoyed the evening.

It's the typical American dinner theatre show priced somewhat higher than similar type of shows in the USA because of the exchange rate between the euro and the USD and the lack of availability of discount coupons you find to such attractions as Medieval Times, Dixie Stampede and the late Wild Bill's in Buena Park, CA as well as similar attractions including King Henry's Feast once found in Orlando.
You get a pre game show all the better to get you to buy a few drinks in the bar, the show including dinner (typical American dinner you know chilli as I remember, followed by chicken and ribs, baked potato (incredibly small portions)...with all the coke, coke light or beer (don't remember if wine but as I remember not) you can drink...the show is conducted in French and English with a sort of competition and some audience participation. It is 2 hours long as they run at least 2 each night especially during the summer.
Now the question, is it worth it? Well that's up to you just like is a trip to Disneyland Paris worth it...some say why waste a precious day in Paris for something that can be done at home (assuming one is from the USA) others say they want a touch of home cooking after spending some time touring and being in a foreign environment. That is strictly up to you.
I think it is a trifle overpriced but then again it is far better than spending over €100 to go to the Moulin Rouge where the food is just as mediocre (although the show is excellent)...and it is interesting to see the reactions of the Europeans to all these things American (whether disgust or admiration)!
