Which Venice Hotel?

There are rooms available for my dates in May at 3 nice looking hotels in Venice. Does anyone have any recommendations, or experience with these?
The three are:
Hotel Al Piave
Locanda Al Gambero
Hotel Antico Doge

We generally are looking for something quiet, yet easily accessible.

Thanks,
Alice

I know that all 3 have been mentioned on this board many times. Just type in the name of the hotel in the search field and look for the threads on the left side of the page. Also, go to www.tripadvisor.com and do the same to get up to date reviews.

I'm never sure about TripAdvisor - do you generally find the reviews to be on target? I generally take the advice with a grain of salt (well I take all advice with a grain of salt), but I do trust the forum replies here more.

Take it all with a grain of salt. You will find wildly different opinions on this board about some hotels just because of the difference in the personal experiences. Do a search and see what you find.

I booked Locanda Orseolo based solely on the Tripadvisor reviews and was not disappointed. I'm going back there this year for a week in June and a week in Sept. The more reviews, the more confident I feel about what I am getting.
