Hmm... although I was hoping I could find some mention of A/C for the apartment on the 7th, I'm not seeing it. I think I'll still contact the manager in case they've installed it recently. If not, the one on the 5th is it (or, the 1st arr. apartment, if all the stars align).

Well england1780..if you don't book that I think I will!! That is a beautiful recently renovated apartment...recently is important. That bathtub is so elegant and the fact that in is in a courtyard with that path going back...so much nicer than street noise..I mean you have a good chance of it being quiet and that is hard to come by in Paris. I will guarantee you that the other property does not have a/c...believe me if they did it would be on the website...I don't find that description as helpful in describing everything in the apartment as the first one. The only thing I am not 100% sure of is location but that is easily checked out and it seems from the reviews people are finding shops etc. close by. That area does have some streets of mostly residential and other buildings so you may have to walk a few blocks for the more active streets...not sure but probably worth it for the quiet at night. Keep us posted.

Lois2, I think I'm going to have to steal that apartment back from you! The one in the 7th is, of course, lovely, but the no A/C is a deal breaker. If my dates line up (honestly, I hope I get some dates soon), I don't think anything should keep me from renting the Rue de Cardinal Lemoine apartment. Of course, I do tend to go back and forth a lot... I tend to get wooed by the newest thing that comes along. Bad habit of mine... oh well!
