Where to stay with 100 pounds/day

I will travel to London on 1/9. I need to find a place that is close to Tube and hopefully to major attractions too. The budget is 100 pounds a night. Any suggestions?

OK - you have maybe a thousand places that fit your criteria. Well, that may be a slight exaggeration. but honestly there are hundreds of places in London near tube stations.

Is the £100 for one or two? If for one then there are even more choices w/i you budget. Nearly anywhere in central London will be w/i walking distance to a tube station. And since London is so large, no single location will be close to more than a handful of major sites.

If you want a really nice hotel for little money, you can try Priceline. A 4 star place for less tha £70 or a 3 star for much less.

At which airport (or train station) are you arriving? Makes a difference for the best areas to get to by public transport.

In general the best areas for combinations of moderate prices and sites you can look in Victoria, South Kensington and Russell Square. But if you use Priceline you could afford higher priced neighborhoods like Knightsbrides, Mayfair, etc.

Check out www.biddingfortravel.com regarding recent priceline sales for London hotels. You should be able to find something nice for $50 to $90 (dollars, not pounds).

Thanks everybody. I acctually found a deal of a 4 star hotel in Knightsbridge from American Airline after surfing the net. The cost is less than 100 pound a night and is much cheaper than other sites.

It is Millennium Knightsbridge. I like the location. They had a deal of stay 3 nights get 4th night free. Not sure if the deal is still on.

Try Millenium Baileys's just around the corner from Millenium Glouscester and with better reviews. I got it for 85 GBP a night with breakfast on Londontown for Feb.
