Where to stay in Sorrento
I am planning on staying in Sorrento for 2 nights in late June and was hoping for some assistance choosing the best area of Sorrento to stay.
We will be arriving via Circumvesuviana from Napoli Centrale and are looking at hotels as well as apartments on Airbnb. I'm looking for something fairly easy to get to and with a nice view. I have been told to look for something on the cliffs of sorrento but not sure exactly where that is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know what your budget is, but we really like Hotel Tramontano, which has amazing views over the Bay of Naples. It's also very close to the old town. You can always look at Bellevue Syrene, a very beautiful hotel only a few blocks from The Tramontano.

It's probably not the best in Sorrento, but I stayed at Hotel Il Faro near the water at Marina Piccola. I was comfortable there for a few days and I loved being so close to the water.
And, it's next to the La Vela Bianca restaurant where I had a wonderful meal. I was on my own for this trip and the staff was very attentive and talkative. I asked for their recommendations for dinner, didn't take a menu, and was served wonderful fish and other seafood dishes.
Even if you try a different hotel, I'd recommend this restaurant for sure. Have a great trip!

We have stayed twice in the past 3 or 4 years, most recently last April, at the hotel Antiche Mura, which does not have a view but is awesome in all other respects. Great location in town within an easy walk of the bus/train station, wonderful service, one of the best breakfasts we've had throughout Europe, beautifully decorated rooms and public spaces. They also have a pool which might be desirable when you're there.Highest recommendation.

Hi
We stayed at the Hotel Tirrenia - http://www.hoteltirrenia.com. Very adequate 3 star hotel. For a room with limited sea view and breakfast daily their website shows 108 euro. I note on their website they have a rooftop area with views. I never used this facility so can't comment. Staff are pleasant and the hotel is very well located for sightseeing. You can walk to it from the train station.
