Where to stay in Rouen France

I'm going to be in France for 30 days starting next month . I will be working from the Monfort Sur Risel area but I see not much is around this area. I am looking for the best places to stat that offer dinning and entertainment . Any areas closer that would fit the bill ? I am looking for a more modern hotel with modern amenities as opposed to what I might take otherwise were I there on a vacation . I'm sure there are lots of places that are great to eat ( it is France after all ) but anything that stands out ? Thanks in advance .

use Booking.com then filter what you want in then pick and reserve the accommodation.

I would be tempted to stay in Honfleur. Google shows it as just a bit closer to that area than Rouen and there are lots of nice restaurants and areas to explore along the coast. And off season it should be nice to be there.

I think that's an idea to consider, at least Honfleur and Rouen would be the places with the most to do in that area. I can't imagine how you could be working from that particular commune, I'll admit. But if you really want more action, Honfleur is cutesy for tourists, but it is much much smaller than Rouen. But Honfleur has the usual modern hotel chains (BW, Ibis, Mercure) if you want that. Honfleur does have a small movie theater, though.

If you are staying in Rouen, I'd at least stay on the SW side of the city for convenience to your work location (Rive Gauche), maybe something around the University and the Parc des Expositions. There are som modest chain hotels there like Ibis and Campanile, but there is a Novotel you might like.
