where to stay in Rome

Hi everyone
My bf and I are trying to book an apartment for a week in Rome next spring. Most of the ones we've seen so far are eiter at the vatican or at Campo dei fiori with one at
La Giulia (no idea where that is). Are these good areas to stay in? We want to be central so we can take breaks if needed during the day and not have to travel far to go out at night (to clubs, bars etc.). Prices seem to be around 120 euros a night. Is that reasonable?
thanks everyone!!

For young people that want nightlife, the Campo dei Fiori is the best location. This is a great location with lots to do in the immediate area, and plenty more clubs, restos, etc. just across the river in Trastevere.

thanks! tuscanlifeedit!! you just made my night. We just started looking and were worried about how long the process would take. We still have to look at tuscany, Sicily and Venice.
What do you think of the price?

I think it is a good price. Fair and just about what one would expect to pay for a decent place to say. In that same area, you would be hard pressed to find a decent hotel at 12 Euro a night.

In the morning in the Campo, there is a fresh food market, and there are good bakeries all around you.

At night, tons of young people, clubs, bars, etx. Fun shopping, and easy walking to all the main sites in Rome. If I were you, and if you something you like, I would secure it.

Of course I meant to type 120 Euros and not 12. Sorry.
