where to honeymoon ?
hi!
any suggestions on where in Europe, we can honeymoon in the month of January?
It will be a week long trip.
Ideally, it would be great that the temp. be not too low or too high (unlikely anyway)
I'll listen to any and all suggestions! thanks

In January there is no place in europe that's really warm. If you go to southern Spain it will probably be in the 50's during the day - and should stay above freezing at night. For anything much warmer than that you need to do the Carib or Asia.
Southern Italy or Malta is also warmish - as above - but further north than that you're taking your chances. In Rome it can be 50 - or you can sometimes even get a little snow.
Any further north and you'll have real winter.

Since you're going in January, you could just embrace winter and head for the mountains somewhere (Austria, Switzerland, Northern Italy).
As reported above, Rome will most likely be cold. We were there last January. It wasn't miserable (not like Florence), but heavy coats/boots were definitely called for.

Embrace the cold. Pick a walkable city with beautiful architecture (Venice, Paris, Bologna, anywhere in Switzerland) that isn't dependent on flowers and trees for beauty, that has a good cafe culture for warming up and people watching.
Avoid off-season warm weather resorts, where everything will seem dismal without lots of sun and flowers.
Splurge on a really gorgeous coat and hat to be warm and stylish. You will look fabulous and chic in all your pictures, instead of sweaty and tired.
Search carefully for a charming hotel with warm colors, fluffy down comforters, good lighting, and rooms you want to spend time in. This will be your haven, so you don't want anything cold and utilitarian.
Be sure your room has a big bathtub for soaking out the chill. When you get to your destination, find a local bubble bath with a smell you love. Buy one bottle to use in your room for nightly romantic bath, with wine and snack each night before heading out to dinner.
Buy another bottle to take home. Every time you smell it, you will be transported back to your romantic honeymoon.
Or...go to the Caribbean or Hawaii and relax on the beach if you really want sun and complete relaxation. Europe or the beach are both good options, it just depends on what you want.
Remember that after your wedding you will likely be exhausted, so you won't want complex connections, lots of toting of bags, etc. Settle in somewhere you think looks wonderful and spend quality time relaxing and rejuvenating together.

I think the two most romantic places are Venice and Paris.
With that said, Venice can be hell when it rains. Anyplace that it primarily countryside or rural can be a wasted trip if the weather is bad.
On the other hand, when it rains big cities, provide a lot of indoor things to do.
That boils down to Paris.
