Where to go in April

We would like to go anywhere in Europe for the first week of April, preferably somewhere on the temperate side - 60 degrees or so. Budget is a concern. We have already been to Rome. Any suggestions welcome. We are traveling from New York.

How about Spain? Fly into Barcelona and fly out of Madrid.

Unfortunately most of Europe will still be fighting the 50's versus entering into the sunny 60's, but you'd be better off sticking to the south.

Maybe suggestion: Sicily!

Portugal! We've been twice in March and had fabulous weather. We had the beaches of Lagos to ourselves, save for some college students that drove over from Spain.

Let me second the nomination of Sicily. We were there last week of March and first of April two years ago and the weather was delightful-warm in the day (T-shirts) and cool, sweater-weather at night. We even picnicked on the beach one day.
